1874

The listicle giant Buzzfeed that is based in New York wanted to expand their office in order to provide a workspace for their team dealing with original content videos. The project was handled by JIDK and interior designers Thomas Jensen and Brigid Björklund worked rigorously along with local architect MAKE Architecture to design their new LA workspace.

Covering an area of 8000 square feet

It was a beauty supply space that was then converted into the Buzzfeed office. The editorial team was given their custom workstations and two rooms set aside for interview as well as shooting purposes. Other highlights of the office include meeting rooms, mezzanine lounge, offices with a glass front. The office has breakout spaces and the ground floor also has a retail area.

JIDK who had also designed the company’s NY office opted for a California Eames Mid-century style when it came to furnishings. Secto Design’s 4200 & 4201 pendants were used by Saul Diaz-Acosts who was appointed as the Lightning designer. Have a look at the gorgeous interiors and overall appeal of the cool office housed at Beverly Boulevard, Los Angeles.
