Did you just roll your eyeballs? Yes, there are too many people who work here every day but come sunset and you will find even servicemen wrapping up their stuff and calling it a day! It is believed that the ghost of Captain Simpson who was an official of the erstwhile East India Company roams freely during night.

Don’t believe in ghosts, ask the locals here! They have endless stories to tell. It is believed that a lady ghost haunts the area. Who knows, if you are (un)lucky, she might even narrate you her own tale!

If the picture didn’t scare you already, we salute your guts! It is believed that you can hear unnerving sound by witches. A few workers have died here while working and thus the haunted nightmare of the place has become a saga.

Too many drinks and we begin to hallucinate, don’t we? It is a haunted place as locals say that one can see ghosts of men who were drinking partners and even girls in red dresses! Certainly even womanizer won’t love watching these pretty women!
6. The National Library, Kolkata
The libraries often have too many scary stories. The local guards are afraid to take night shifts and there is a rumour that a student who went to the library to do his research never returned. You will also find letters scattered over the desk! Spooked yet?

So, you are shaking your head violently because hey, there are movies that are shot here! Well, dig a little under the covers and you will hear news of how people have disappeared here and yes, paranormal activities are routine too! 4. Dumas Beach, Gujarat
This one is really creepy. This beach was once used by Hindus as a burial ground. You can actually hear whispers of people talking even when the whole beach is deserted. What is worse is that there are reports of people disappearing too! You don’t want to get lost forever, do you?

There is an ancient story which says that there is a magic cast on the land which says that those who inhabit this land will die. It is needless to add that this place is uninhabited. Want to test the theory, we would bet against it!

Come on, you saw it in PK and you want to visit it, don’t you? Be careful though. There are reports that the water lures people and makes them commit suicide. You do not want your curiosity to get the better of you.
1. Bhangarh Fort, Rajasthan
This is THE MOST haunted place in India. It too has an ancient story of curse. The Archaeological Survey Of India has banned people from exploring this area post sunset. Ask any of the locals and they will have too many spooky stories to share. The picture says it all, doesn’t it?
